Just stumbled upon this amazing article written by Heather Schulte, an Alternative Medicine Examiner, about the natural treatments for seasonal allergies. She highlighted the same point I made on my previous article of the importance of utilizing raw unfiltered honey along with nettle tea and probiotics. This combination is highly effective and helps getting through the toughest allergy season.
“Bees produce honey by using pollen. Local raw honey will provide very small doses of this pollen stimulating your bodies tolerance of the pollen. Raw honey from local sources is most effective because it doesn’t have heat applied to it and it is made from the pollen prevalent in your area. Raw honey should not be consumed by children under the age of 5.

Environmental allergies are the hardest ones to control. Among all the Antihistamines that I’ve tried the only ones that really cured my son were the natural remedies. The advantage of utilizing natural or alternative remedies is because they are good for the body and don’t have any side effects. They strengthen the body and help minimize allergic reactions, or as in my case, completely cure them. On the other side prescriptions and antihistamines are a bit tricky. Once you get started on them you can’t stop, because the second you do all of the symptoms will instantly attack you. It’s a bad cycle and it does not allow the body to naturally adapt to the environment. In severe cases adaptation should be done slowly and with precaution, perhaps all prescriptions doses should be minimized gradually and exposure to allergen must be minimal and scheduled. To overcome environmental allergies one must heal internally first and then expose little by little to allergens such as pollen.

Yes, there are! There are many paths to choose from when curing allergies. I chose the natural approach, since the prescriptions I was utilizing deteriorated my son’s health and didn’t help much in the long run. Thanks to the natural approach my son can tolerate many foods that he couldn’t eat before and doesn’t end up wheezing in the ER during allergy season. If you feel frustrated just like I did a few years ago, there is a solution. You can take these three steps and see results sooner than expected:
1.) PREVENT ALLERGIC REACTIONS
2.) BOOST IMMUNE SYSTEM

Spring, the season all parents with allergic kids fear most. If we all had a special protective bubble to place our kids during spring, that would surely solve the problem. Unfortunately that bubble doesn’t exist and the pressure is on for the season. With food allergies on the rise and our air so polluted, how do we protect our kids from this madness?
After years of struggling with my child’s allergies, which consisted of monthly hospital visits, medical bills, confusion and desperation, I found out what works best for him. Now I am able to manage his allergies and even strengthened his immunity system enough to tolerate most of the things he couldn’t eat before.
